Welcome to Alacrity! Alacrity, by definition, means cheerful readiness, promptness, or willingness. This is the spirit I wish to bring to our linkshell! Alacrity is a Sky Linkshell, above all else. Most people, myself included, wouldn't be quick to call sky something you look forward to. Many see it as mere drudgery; work for a reward. In part, this is true. Sky is work, it requires personal effort, and time. This, however, doesn't mean that it can't be fun, or enjoyable, eh?

Now for the nitty-gritty. Alacrity will NOT run on a direct Point system for drops. Such systems discriminate against players with real life conflicts that may happen to interfere with their in-game schedule. Instead, drops will be given based upon performance, effort, and Alacrity. Attendence will play a role in this, of course, and myself and the Sackholders will be keeping a record of who does and does not attend each Alacrity event. The priority of certain items on your wishlist may also affect drop decisions.

For example: Two equally qualified players have PLD at 75, and have Martial Abjuration: Head on their wishlist. However, one of the players has 2 other 75s, and the M. head is on the lower end of their wishlist, whereas the other player has only PLD at 75, and has Martial Abjurations at the top of his list. In this case, the career Paladin will receive the Abjuration.

Now, for the LS Bank and Gil-Items dropped by Gods and other NMs. All Gil -Item drops from Gods will be lotted by myself or the present Sackholder to be sold by a mule, who will serve as the LS bank. These transactions will also be recorded on the forum, and are open to review at any time by any Alacrity member. We have nothing to hide. This money, in turn, will be primarily used for providing the NQ Cursed items for members who receive Abjurations from the Linkshell. Please note: HQ Cursed Items will NOT be paid for by Alacrity. Providing the LS bank has reached sufficient mass to provide for expected Cursed items, these Gil-Items may then be sold to Alacrity members for 75% of the current AH price. Also, once the LS bank has reached sufficient size, Gil from Hawkmage will be used to fund Dynamis.

From these Dynamis runs, the Linkshell reserves the right to Up to and No more than 2 100-pieces of Ancient Currency, which will be sold to cover the cost of subsequent Dynamis. All Single pieces of Ancient Currency will be allowed to drop freely to any player. These may NOT be lotted. Gil items, however, such as Infinity Cores, may be lotted at any time by any player. Relic Armor can be lotted by any player with the job in question above level 70. All Relic Weapons, the Relic Shield and the Relic Horn are free lot.
